I really enjoyed this — Iris Watkins is a smart, working-class woman trying to break into the global financial sector, who is called upon to stop a shadowy group of hedge magicians who have found a way to travel into the past. The London Blitz setting reminded me a lot of Connie Willis’ Blackout and All Clear. I did not realize it was the first volume in a series, however, so now I’m eagerly awaiting the next one.
